Andreth sat on one of the many couches in the Lookout, overlooking the city. To think he lived on those streets for 6 years, he surprised himself on how he managed to survive. He was sure that if he lived longer on the streets, he would've gone into the criminal business, a frightening aspect that Andreth didn't want to linger upon.
Andreth looked around again, seeing if anyone was around. He didn't know why he did this, he wasn't on the streets anymore. It was nearly impossible for someone who wanted to hurt him to even reach him, let alone inflict physical harm. Maybe it was a habit, he'd done this for so long, it must of been engraved in his subconscious, causing him to do it without thinking.
Seeing no one was around, Andreth closed his eyes and let his mind wander. He didn't plan on stopping this anytime soon, it allowed him to relax and escape the chaos that was New York City. He knew that this was not going to be his last time doing this. On the contrary, he might start doing this more often due to the fact that he was in a safe and secure place, for all he knew.

Quinn liked to be around other people most of the time. She hated silence and she hated being alone, but she also hated extremely loud noise too. Right now, Quinn had a headache and she needed quiet. She had tried sitting in her room, but from there she could still hear all the noises of New York. So, she had decided to go for a nice hike up the stairs. Quinn decided she would walk up to the Lookout, because it usually wasn't very crowded and it had couches.
Once she had made her way to the seventh floor, Quinn took a short break. Her head was pounding with every step she took, which hurt terribly. After waiting for about five or six minutes, the pain in Quinn's head had began to stop. She waited another minute or two before continuing her journey. She was nearing her destination.
The Lookout was one of Quinn's favorite places. She loved it because it was her 'quiet spot' when she needed it. Sure, she had her own room, but it was to...dull for her taste. Almost everything in it was gray, which made it easy to sleep, but it was also quite boring during the day. The Lookout wasn't much, but it had several windows, which made it more interesting.
Quinn quietly opened the door to the Lookout and began walking towards a couch near the window. When she got there, she noticed a fellow Titan on the couch. He looked like he was asleep, but Quinn couldn't tell. Not wanting to wake him, she turned around quickly, too quickly. Quinn's head ached for a second and she felt dizzy. Seconds later, she fell to the ground with a 'thump'. "Ow." Quinn mummbled, sitting up. She rubbed her now-aching head and closed her eyes.

Andreth thought about what he was to do now. He was now a member of the Teen Titans, which made him happy. But somewhere in his subconscious, he couldn't help but wonder if his powers would do any good. They weren't amazing and others must have much cooler and useful powers than him.
As he continued to think, he suddenly heard a thump and then someone saying.
"Ow."
Andreth's eyes shot open and he saw a girl with long, dark brown, wavy hair who looked pretty athletic. Andreth felt himself tense up with fear and embarrassment reaching every single part of his body.
"uhhh ummm I was uhhhh ummmmm..." He spluttered out, unable to even speak properly. His cheeks reddened and his shyness overtook him. He couldn't help but stare at her.

Feeling like an idiot, Quinn grabbed the edge of the couch and used it to push herself up. She rubbed her head again and once again shut her eyes. Her once dulled headache was now back with full force and with a vengence. Quinn began rubbing her temples, trying anything to calm it. Once it began to ease up slightly, she opened her eyes to see the boy again. He looked maybe a year or two younger than herself and he had blonde hair.
"uhhh ummm I was uhhhh ummmmm..." With that, Quinn stared at the boy for a second. Was he...shy? Weirded out by the fact that Quinn had just randomly tripped in front of him? Quinn was confused. Being confused hurt her head even more, so she just closed her eyes again and opened them a minute later.
"Are you okay?" She asked him, cocking her head to the side. She wasn't used to others stuttering, even when she tripped (which happened more often then she would admit to). "I'm Quinn by the way." She told him, hoping to get some answers.
((OOC: Sorry it's sort of short xD))

Andreth was feeling very embarrassed that the girl came in on him during one of his thinking sessions. He wanted to keep these things a bit quiet and personal plus it sorta made him look weird. His cheeks reaching a brilliant red, he averted his gave from her.
"Are you okay?" She asked him, cocking her head to the side. "I'm Quinn by the way."
Why was she talking to him? Was the first thought that ran through his head. He must've looked like an idiot when he was thinking and then she saw him. She must've thought he was some freak.
"I'm Andreth..." He said quietly, still looking away from her. He felt extremely embarrassed about this situation and still looked away, afraid of how she would look at him.

Quinn noticed the boys cheeks heating up and raised an eye brow. She should be the embarressed, not him. Quinn had fallen on her ass, afterall. She was having a hard time figuring this guy out, which was bothering her. Usually, Quinn was quite good at judging people when she first met them. Well, she wasn't the best at it, but she tended to be right sixty-five percent of the time. She tended to be a good guesser.
"I'm Andreth..." Quinn smiled slightly at that. His name was different, but so was he. After thinking for a minute, Quinn nodded. "Andreth...That's a cool name." She commented with another nod.
Quinn knew he wasn't a member of the Prime squad for sure, for that was her squad. But Quinn wasn't very good at remembering the other squad's names or members. She just knew the squad leaders and some of the other members by face, but she couldn't remember which squad Andreth was a member of. "Which squad are you in?" She asked, but quickly added "I'm on the Prime squad."

"Andreth...That's a cool name." She said to him. Andreth still refused to look at Quinn, still embarrassed about being found while having his private thinking time. His cheeks were still red when he heard Quinn speaking again.
"Which squad are you in?" She asked Andreth, trying to make conversation. "I'm on the Prime squad." She quickly added, making Andreth feel even more embarrased. He made himself look like an idiot in front of a person who works with the leader of the Teen Titans. Still looking away, he said to her quietly.
"I'm sorry about you seeing me like that... I must've looked like a complete idiot..."

Quinn's eye brows quirked in a confused and amused expression. He was worried about looking like a complete idiot? Had he not seen her fall? She couldn't help but laugh quietly. "Seriously? You didn't look like an idiot. If anything, I did because I fell. I'm not the most gracefull person ever." Quinn told the boy.
She was showing a very rarely seen side of her. Most of the time, Quinn was very quiet and somewhat rude, but when she was around someone who was also quiet, she tended to be louder and be a lot more gentle. Very few people every saw this Quinn, and she sort of liked it that way. If she was too nice all the time, she would be viewed as soft. In their line of work, she couldn't afford to be soft.
"Hmm...You aren't a Prime, and you don't seem like a Shade...so, are you a Lion or Defender?" Quinn asked. She was honestly curious, but also a bit cautious. She didn't fully doubt that the boy in front of her was a Titan, but she wasn't entirely sure. He could have wondered into the building or something for all she knew. He seemed nice enough, but Quinn wasn't one to trust people after just meeting them.

"Seriously? You didn't look like an idiot. If anything, I did because I fell. I'm not the most gracefull person ever." She said to Andreth, laughing a little. He still didn't look at her, even though the embarrassment started to die down. He started to feel a bit relaxed around her.
"Hmm...You aren't a Prime, and you don't seem like a Shade...so, are you a Lion or Defender?" She then said to him. It was clear that she had no idea who he was. Then again, he had no idea who she was.
"Oh... I forgot to tell you didn't I? I'm a member of the Lions. I'm actually new here..." He said to her, a bit louder, but still quietly. He still didn't want to look at her. He wondered when he will be able to say he isn't new...
I guess time will tell...[/color] He thought to himself. He wanted to learn more about her. Finally turning to her, he asked.
"What are your powers? They must be good if you got into Prime."

Quinn smiled. She was finally getting him to open up a little, which was good. Quinn herself wasn't one to open up to new people easily, but Andreth reminded her of a lost puppy of sorts. She wanted to hug him and tell him she wasn't as scary as she seemed at times. He seemed very shy, which wasn't anything new. Several members of the Titans had a hard time opening up to others and being talk-a-tive.
Almost all of the Titans had dealt with some hardship of sorts before joining the group. Many of them, like herself, had either lost one or both parents and many of them had lived on the streets. Quinn couldn't imagine doing this herself; she really looked up to the kids that had.
"Lions huh? Sound's about right...and as for being new, I'm sure you won't feel that way for long." Quinn reasured him. She herself had been sixteen when she joined up and had felt lost and angry for a good few weeks after joining. Eventually, she had calmed down and really felt comfortable around some of her teammates.
"I'm a Memory Manipulator and a Possessor. I can erase or alter someone's memory and I can enter people's minds for up to thirty seconds at a time. What about you?" Quinn asked him curiously.

"Lions huh? Sound's about right...and as for being new, I'm sure you won't feel that way for long." She said to him, reassuring him. She seemed nice and Andreth started to break down his defenses, wanting to get to know her.
"I'm a Memory Manipulator and a Possessor. I can erase or alter someone's memory and I can enter people's minds for up to thirty seconds at a time. What about you?" She said, answering his question. At the mention of her power, Andreth got a bit scared of her. Someone who could change memories and posses you. Andreth did not want to be at the receiving end of that.
"I'm a tracker. As long as I get a name or something that belongs to someone, I can find their location anywhere in the world. Unless they're underground, I can't seem to penetrate soil." He said in a calm manner to Quinn. He didn't want to go into to much detail in risk of annoying her or boring her. He didn't want to get on her bad side.

Quinn knew people tended to fear her when she told them her powers. That, mixed with the fact that she could sometimes be an emotional rollercoaster, often terrified people, especially when she was first meeting them. Quinn knew she was a high-matenianced person most (if not all) of the time. Her powers were scary (even to her sometimes), but the good thing was that she couldn't use them when she was angry. Most people lose control of their powers when they're upset, but Quinn just couldn't seem to make her powers work when she got mad.
"That's really cool." Quinn told the younger boy with a smile. He still seemed shy, but she was definately getting him to open up more now. Quinn could already tell she was growing attached to the boy, but in a friendly way.
"So, you said you were new...What made you want to join the Titans?" Quinn asked curioulsy. She didn't want to pry, so she quickly added "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. A lot of the people here didn't join under ideal circumstances." Quinn herself probably wouldn't have joined had her life been ideal. She probably would have lived a somewhat peaceful life as a normal civilian.

"That's really cool." The woman said to Andreth. Though her powers were a bit scary, he started to feel relaxed with her and he couldn't help but liking her. She didn't seem like the person who would go gung-ho with her abilities.
"So, you said you were new...What made you want to join the Titans?" Quinn asked Andreth. He was a bit surprised by this question, did she really want to know about him? "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. A lot of the people here didn't join under ideal circumstances." She then said, obviously thinking she was prying in to dangerous territory.
"It's okay. I joined because I wanted to help reduce the crime here. I lived on the streets for 6 years and I saw a lot. I wanted to make an impact and here I am now. What about you?" He said to her in a friendly tone. Though he told her most of the truth, he didn't tell her about his parents. It was his fault they died and he didn't want anyone to know and realize that he was a horrible beast.

Quinn's face paled slightly when Andreth said he was on the streets for six years. She herself hadn't lived on the streets a day in her life, and she honestly didn't think she could. Quinn put up a tough front in front of people she didn't like or trust, but she really wasn't all that tough. In fights, Quinn's only strength were her powers and even then, her powers weren't fighting powers. Someone with Super Strength or even a really strong human would be able to beat her easily.
She quickly recovered and smiled at him slightly. The smile felt slightly forced, even to her. Quinn only got a look like this on her face when she was talking about her father. "I joinned about two years ago, when I was sixteen. I joined because my dad was killed in a bank robbery and I wanted to make sure no other kid would have to go through what I went through after that." Quinn said, her voice shaking slightly when she spoke about her father.
Quinn had been closer to him than anyone and when he had died, Quinn knew their wasn't any life for her at home. Her mother was a nice lady, but she was to naive for her own good. She had always wanted Quinn to be a sweet little girl, even now. Quinn couldn't stay there and pretend to be an innocent little teenager anymore. Quinn knew to much about what was really out in the world to be naive like her mother.
"So, how are you liking the Titans so far? Everyone's pretty nice here, I think. Though, I could be a bit biased." Quinn said with a small laugh. She always changed the subject after someone mentioned their (or her) parents. Once she did, she always felt so much better. It was like a weight was being lefted from her shoulders.

Andreth noticed how Quinn's face paled when he mentioned living on the streets, as if she was shocked and afraid of living on the streets. He had to admit, it was a hard life. Every day was a struggle and Andreth found it hard to I've on the streets with out committing evil. It was a very easy thing to do there, and the rewards seemed to overwhelm the consequences of crime, but Andreth couldn't do it. Maybe he was too weak and couldn't muster up the courage to do something like that. It seemed to be the most likely reason.
As Quinn bwgan to explain about her reasons of joining the titans, Andreth noticed the smile that she gave him looked a bit forced. As if she didn't really want to talk about it. He then understood why. As she began to talk about her father's death, her voice started to shake, clearly traumatized by the events that conspired. Andreth could easily empathize with her. He experienced the exact same thing with the lost of his parents when he was only 10. Watching someone die in front of you, it changed you in ways you didn't think were possible. It was clear that Quinn and him were fighting for very similar reasons and the knowledge of this allowed him to feel a greater connection with her, as if a new bond was formed between them.
She quickly changed the subject to how Andreth felt about the people in the Titan Tower, evidently not wanting to dwell on the subject of their parents. He could understand why, Andreth didn't really like to remember his parent's death as it was his fault that they had died. He should've done something to save them, but he couldn't. He just watched them get brutally killed by the thieves that came and ransacked his house. It was engraved into his skull as a constant reminder of how useless he was, how weak he was...
He looked around the look-out, making it seem like he was trying to remember how the others were towards him, when in fact he was trying to describe Aaron. It was very true that he found Aaron amazingly good looking, and he was so nice to him. However, he couldn't say that to Quinn. She didn't know he was gay and he'd prefer that piece of information to be left in the dark. Andreth didn't want others to know he was gay, in fear that he would get shunned and rejected. He didn't want that to happen.
The couches seemed to be gathering dust, evidently because they hadn't been used in some time. He knew that the Titan Tower used to be an abandoned office building, so he assumed that all the furniture in here must be quite old. The room was very stark, due to the fact that couches were the only things in here, but the view of New York City was quite amazing from where he was sat.
Andreth knew he needed to provide Quinn with an answer soon, but he didn't know how to phrase it without it being seen as a crush. He subconsciously retreated a bit, sitting in a ball form, with his hand grasping onto his legs. He didn't want to be found out anytime soon.
"I haven't met a lot of people here. To be honest, you're the second Titan I met. I met up with Aaron, the leader of the Shades down in the foyer. He was really nice to me." Andreth said vaguely, purposely with-holding information from Quinn. He was still nervous about making a good impression with the Titans, and he didn't think coming out of a closet was a particularly good impression, especially to someone he just met.
