It was common knowledge that Quinn and Sephara were friends. Why wouldn't they be? As the only two girls on a team of boys (even on the other teams), they had banded together the first day they had meet… and had been attached at the hip since then.
Sephara Kyle was the glue of the relationship, always dealing with Quinn’s mood swings. And Quinn? Quinn was the one she would turn to for advice…and for the occasional girl’s night as the club. An irritable sigh escaped her lips as Sephara Kyle plotted an outfit for their club night (which happened once every month).
The white Cashmere sweater?
Nope…Too preppy.
The one-shoulder dress?
Nah, Seph was peeling like crazy.
The polka-dotted skirt with a red sweater?
Who even put that monstrosity in her closet?
Her little black dress?
Now, that was perfect.
Nearly ripping the dress off the hanger, Seph slipped it over her head, tugged it down until it reached mid-thigh, grabbed her necessary equipment, and hobbled to the bathroom, which had a mirror.
She really needed to ask Lucas if he would put a mirror in her room… because she was a little tired of walking to the bathroom every time she needed to get ready. She threw her make-up bag down on the counter and reached in, digging around for her hairbrush.
Pulling out the old thing, she ran it through her hair, wincing as it hit the tangles. She pulled her old jeweled clip- a family heirloom of sorts- and used it pin some hair back but left her bangs out. Smiling in satisfaction, she pulled out her eye shadow and applied it with quick and careful precision.
Now came the hard part, Seph concentrated on her eyelashes and imagined them lengthening, becoming longer than they actually were. Wincing lightly at the bit of pain that accompanied a change, the girl looked in the mirror and smirked as she realized that her powers had worked very, very well.
She pulled out her lip gloss and rubbed it on lips, making them carefully shiny. She took a look in the mirror and grinned. Her outfit was perfect. If there was any eye-candy(that weren’t a part of the United or the Reavers) at that club, they would be all over her.
She winced as she strolled out of the bathroom. Why had so chosen the tallest shoes in her closet? If she had to fight tonight, she was screwed because a dress+heels=disaster, especially for her.
She couldn’t run in this stupid thing… Now that she thought of it, she really should have gone with the skirt… she could rip it and run… but this dress? She wouldn’t rip it if the world was ending.
She made her way into Quinn’s room. “Hello” she shouted and flopped down on her friend’s bed. “Are you ready” she quizzed, propping herself up with her elbow.
