Because relationship plotting is fun! (:
Chris is what you might call a smart idiot. He's technically clever, but outside of the world of science, he's pretty clueless. He wants nothing more than to be a hero and help people. He's friendly and means well. He tries, though, and sometimes he even succeeds; sometimes he's just trying. Not everyone can quite appreciate the technobabble that he slips into.

I think Leslie would certainly try to understand his babble. From what it sounds like he might be a bit disappointed because she is a tough one to help.

Haha, we already plotted out a bit between these two: He was nice to her but she's a spoilt brat. She's mean to him in public but nice when it's just them, so on and so forth. Up until he left high school, they got to the point of bickering for sport. He'd technobabble her into frustration and she'd rant and rave at him to her heart's content.

I'm on the fence about these two. They could be friends or maybe even enemies... I have no clue.

With Leslie: I don't think he'd be disappointed. Maybe a little disheartened occasionally, but he'd be even more fired up by the difficulty. For better or worse, he likes a challenge.
With Seph: It's difficult (she says, unhelpfully). I think they'd end up arguing more than being buddy-buddy. Since she's a perfectionist, I can't imagine she'd be thrilled about working with a guy who doesn't think things through (despite supposedly being smart). Plus, he'd ask her to test out some of his inventions, 'for the sake of the Teen Titans' future!' or something like that. If she refused, he'd give her a long list of reasons describing why it's a bad idea not to help out; and if she kept refusing, he'd get annoyed at a lot more of what she says (because he's childish like that). Worse, he'd find her laser eyes totally awesome. I'd imagine he'd end up asking her weird questions about that, too. I think it would be interesting to watch their relationship develop into something more like friendship, but for now I'd think that's how it would pan out? What do you think? I'm totally flexible, so don't worry about disagreeing with any/all of the above. (:

Ah yes, Seph would refuse. Because she isn't some science experiment and if he persisted, she would aim her eyes at him and scare him just a bit to shut him up. Basically, I agree with your post whole-heartedly and it would be awesome to watch them argue their way into friendship!

I get the feeling most of Chris' relationships work out like that. Argue until they get used to him and tolerate it to the point of friendship.
...Anybody ever watch Big Bang Theory? I relate Chris to Sheldon Cooper.

With Seph: She'd win the battle, but the war would be a longer struggle. After running away from the lasers, he'd start trying to calibrate an energy meter to measure the blast next time...
... Silly Chris.
Anyway, yes, sounds like we have a plan! >)
Roe: You have a point. At least to start with, he treats everyone in more or less the same way. Unfortunately, since that approach tends to grate, the arguing isn't much of a surprise...
I'm not familiar with The Big Bang Theory, but I've wanted to watch it for a while now. Maybe I'll hunt down some episodes later...

Ahh, he really isn't going to help Alice's opinion on the Titans. As good as their intentions may be, she likes to refer to them as "pansies". I don't know how he'll take it, but she won't bother being mean to him since he does work towards the "greater good". I think the rest we'll have to roleplay out XD Maybe, maybe eventual friends.

Haha, he'll probably take it pretty well. Definitely wouldn't stop him trying to convert her or bugging her with a multitude of questions. Given her origin and abilities, he'd definitely try finding out more about her. I'm not sure how he'll react to her beyond that, though, so yes, we should definitely roleplay things out! >)
