THE PERSONALITY
[scrolly:h(120),w(400),sy]Likes:
Violence, crime, skilled minions, money, intimidating others
Dislikes:
Vigilantes, cops, jail, incompetence, disrespect, The United
General:
Aaron is a cold and calculating gang leader. He prefers to leave nothing to chance and to attack when he has a clear advantage over his enemy. He understands the value of information, whether it’s about the defensive perimeter of a United base or rumors about where the cops are getting uppity and need to be reminded who is in charge. Once he has the information he desires, he acts on it as he sees fit.
His first concern is his own well-being and the second is of his gang. He feels no remorse over sending his men out to die as long as doing so suits his purposes.
Although Aaron generally appears cold, he is not completely dispassionate. When he has his heart set on accomplishing something and it falls through, he will become incredibly upset and violent. For example, if he loses a large swath of territory he might take it out by killing one of his subordinates. He is mostly likely to become violent when he feels that it is his minions’ fault that he has not succeeded in meeting his aspirations.

THE WEAKNESSES
Aaron is human, and has all the limitations that one would associate with that. While his armor protects him from most types of weapons, the armor can be damaged by explosive weaponry (ie- grenades or RPGs). In terms of personal weaknesses, Aaron is reluctant to appear weak in front of his subordinates and has some trust issues, so he may not seek help from them when doing so would be prudent. Additionally, he can become very violent when he experiences disappointment, sparking a rage that usually results in someone or something being hurt…possibly including himself.
THE HISTORY
Aaron Altzman was destined to be a Reaver since birth. His father, Eric Altzman was the leader of the Reavers, and when Aaron was born the Reavers were enjoying complete dominance over their territories. As a young child, of course, Aaron didn’t understand what it meant to be born into the Reavers, but as he grew his father began to give him an idea. He learned early on that the only authority figure that could actually punish him was his own father. An elementary teacher who disciplined him and called his parents showed up chalk white to school and apologized profusely for punishing him. That was the first hint he received of how intimidating his father’s reputation was.
Aaron was raised by his father to appreciate the necessity of appearing tough and inspiring fear in others. Eric Saltzman abused his son verbally and physically when he displeased him, in an effort to “toughen up,” his son. His mother did nothing, too scared of Eric to do more than treat her son’s injuries.
When Aaron was ten, his father killed his mother after learning that she was having an affair with another man and planned to run away with him. Aaron saw the murder happen at his father’s insistence- his father wanted to let him know that as a Reaver, he could never tolerate betrayal.
When Aaron was sixteen, the Reavers had begun to lose their dominance to the United. As Aaron saw his father lose battle after battle, he realized that despite the fear his father inspired in others, he was capable of failure just like everyone else. His father could be weak and he could be defeated, killed, even. He had given up on the idea of ever earning his father’s love and respect, and so a plan began to form in his mind. He began to insinuate to certain members of the Reavers that his father might have lost his touch and was no longer fit to lead. Two years later, he believed he had amassed the support he needed. He walked up to his own father and shot him in the head. His followers killed the remaining loyalists, and Aaron established himself as the new Reaver, taking the name of “Alpha Reaver” from his father.
From that day forward, Aaron did everything in his power to take back the territory that his father had lost to the United. He was hard-pressed to do more than keep the territories that the gang already maintained, however, and unrest gradually began to grow in the ranks again. Aaron managed to quell some of that unrest when his gang found a cache of old weapons at a military base that had been abandoned in the 23rd century. One of the finds was a suit of armor with wrist-mounted blasters- a find that the Alpha Reaver claimed for himself. The find of new weapons managed to restore the gang’s faith in their boss, and Aaron’s demonic visage while wearing the armor only made him more intimidating.
Now that the Reavers are regaining their reputation, Aaron is trying to bring his fight with the United to a new level. He also has been keeping track of the actions of the Teen Titans, although he does not consider them as big of a danger as the United.

"Reavers!" shouted Alpha Reaver, trying to rally his forces. It was a difficult task- his scouts hadn't reported the machine gun nest that currently had most of his force pinned down as they attempted to assault the United base. Someone would owe him an explanation for that oversight- but that would come later. Now he had to deal with the gun emplacement. Unfortunately, he didn't have any heavy artillery such as RPGs, and the other half of his assault force, which was heading toward the base from the other side to create a pincer movement, was making slower time.
Sending his men would be suicide. He would have to do this himself. He prepared himself to leap out into the gunfire. His armor suit should protect him from harm.
It turned out that wasn't necessary, though. The gun emplacement stopped firing, and Alpha Reaver smirked as the gun operators started arguing. They probably hadn't cleaned it properly and it had jammed. That was what happened when you didn't take care of equipment that shot several hundred rounds per minute.
He rolled out into the fray from behind his cover and threw a grenade, taking out the gun and its crew. His subordinates, no longer cowed and sensing victory at hand, began to move forward once again.
