OK, just to clear up any confusion about the condition of the rp world I’ve put this together just so you guys have a better idea of what you have to work with.

The year is 2500. For 400 years society has basically been put on halt. With the fall of the Titans evil ran rampant, not just in NYC, but all over the world. Everywhere experienced an almost overnight change from the utopia years of the Titans, to Hell incarnate. Yes there was a change over period of several decades where villains took on villains and tried to settle out a peaking order, but after this there was no doubt that bad guys were in control.

The basic functioning and structure of society had drastically changed. Sure you still had jobs, still got paid, but the industries changed. No longer were people investing in new technologies, or the stock market. Advanced research stations closed as did most businesses that were no longer relevant to the ruling villains.

The year is 2500. Weapons that can be found here are basically just the same weapons of the year 2100, passed down through the generations. Electricity still runs in NYC as the villainous groups in charge through time like to keep the lights and power on. No one drives around the city anymore, fuel is just too rare. Besides, the United and Reavers have taken all that remains and safely placed it in their hideouts to power their own vehicles. Schools up to a high school level are still open but are now voluntary. If you do go to school it would have been drilled into your head that the United are great and the Reavers are the scum of the earth and must die. On the plus side, school now teaches you things much more relevant to the real world and prepares you for jobs the city needs doing, not wasting your early years away demanding you speak Japanese when migrants haven’t come across the ocean in centuries. The mall is still open, you can still buy new clothes, still watch a movie, and still hit up a café and get a sandwich. However the clothes are generally much more patchwork-like due to the materials tailors have to work with just being whatever they can get their hands on. No new movies have been made really, so anything you’d see at the cinema would be a re-run of whatever was present in the storeroom. And no fast food is no longer available, however the highly processed meat has kept for a very long time and is now somewhat of a delicacy

There is still a police force for NYC, however they have been hand picked by the United to keep order when their own squads are not around to bully obedience out of the masses. As a result the police are really just as bad as the United, but their presence does help keep people from rioting and stealing resources from valuable infrastructure like the mall. So in their own way they do serve and protect.

Fresh water is still available by turning on a tap in most locations due to the treatment plant out west being entirely self sufficient and so needing no help from humans to run. Fresh food is also readily found as much of NYC’s former population has been set to work on farms just outside the city boarders by the ruling villains 400 years ago. Medicine and medical equipment also are still available and is one of the things you get taught in school, so most people know how to fix up someone’s broken leg or stitch a stab wound.

Communications such as mobile and landline phones have been offline since before anyone can remember. 400 Eggplant years is adequate time for power lines to fall down all over the place. These days people communicate via hand held radios, powered by rechargeable batteries, which in turn are recharged through a charger plugged into the power point somewhere. However since anyone can hear what you broadcast, radios are used sparingly or messages sent in code.
